GCET is commonly known as Goa Common Entrance Test. It is the state level entrance test conducted for admissions in various professional courses in the field of engineering, medical, homeopathy, architecture, and technology in the institutions of Goa. Goa Common Entrance Test 2021 Cut off – GCET Entrance Exam Results
The Board of Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Goa will set the Cutoff Marks for the contenders to be considered for admission procedure. Only the candidates who got the GCET Cutoff Marks 2021 are able to get admission for various UG Courses in the Colleges or Universities in Goa. Based on the GCET 2021 cutoff, the officials will prepare the GCET 2021 merit list. Finally, Seats are allocated to the participants as per their ranks in GCET 2021 merit list.
Factors to determine GCET 2021 cutoff marks
- Total Number of Appeared candidates.
- Availability of Seats.
- The Difficulty level of the question paper.
- Reservation Policy.
- The Performance of the Contestants.
The Aspirants have to score the minimum qualifying marks to get shortlisted for further rounds of the admission process. People belonging to General category should score a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The Candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC have to score the minimum of 40% marks.

B.Sc Nursing Merit List
- The Merit List (B.Sc Nursing) will be prepared on the aggregate marks of Goa CET 2021 in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- It contains the list of the candidates who have secured at least 50% aggregate in the respective subjects.
Goa CET Merit List for B.Tech
- The Merit List for B.Tech stream will be on the basis of aggregate marks in the subjects Physics and Mathematics.
B.Pharm Merit List
- The Merit List (B.Pharm) will be prepared on the aggregate marks of GCET 2021 in the subjects Physics and Chemistry.
GCET Merit List for B.Arch
- The Merit List for B.Arch stream will be on the basis of marks obtained in NATA aggregate marks in the Qualifying examination with the ratio 1:1.
GCET Provisional Merit List – For all Streams
All the aspirants can download the Goa CET 2021 Provisional Merit List PDF from the official web portal www.dte.goa.gov.in. The Board will prepare the separate provisional merit list for all streams like
- Medicine, Homeopathy, Dentistry, and Allied Health Sciences & Nursing.
- Pharmacy.

Tie Breaking Rule for (Goa CET) GCET Results 2021
The Authority will prepare the Goa Common Entrance Test Merit in descending order on the basis of marks obtained in the exam. In case if two or more contestants get same marks then the board follows the Tie Breaking rule.
- Firstly, they consider the score of Mathematics.
- If the GCET 2021 Score is equal, then they consider the score in Chemistry.
- If the tie still exists, they consider the aggregate marks of Physics and Mathematics.
- If not, finally they will check the Date of Birth and give priority to the candidate which is elder.
