The ICAR full form is Indian Council of Agricultural Research which conducts the All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA). ICAR conducts the exam every year to provide the admissions into undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Presently, ICAR’s 23rd All India Examinations (AIEEA) for Admission Exam is conducted for the admissions into UG, PG degree programs. Also, AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS) for the admissions into the doctoral degree programs in Agriculture and allied sciences.

AIEEA UG is the entrance exam through which candidates can get the admissions into bachelor degree courses in agriculture. Through AIEEA PG, the officials will offer the master’s degree courses offered by the agricultural universities/institutions.

Latest Update: Due to some administrative reasons the ICAR’s 23rd All India Entrance Examination 2018 for UG, PG and Ph.D. admissions conducting dates have been Postponed. Previously, the ICAR AIEEA 2018 scheduled to held on May 12th, 2018 (for AIEEA-UG) and May 13th, 2018 (for AIEEA-PG/Ph.D.). ICAR Notification 2018

The Indian Council of Agricultural Research releases the AIEEA 2018 Notification in the month of April 2018. Candidates who are willing to join in the agricultural courses have to check the eligibility criteria. Eligible candidates have to fill and submit the application form as soon as possible before the last date to avoid the server issues.

ICAR 2018 Eligibility

Aspirants have to meet the minimum eligibility conditions to apply for AIEEA Exam 2018.

Nationality

• Candidates should belong to the citizen of India.

Educational Qualification

The academic qualification is different for UG and PG courses as given below.

For AIEEA UG:

• Candidates should have passed the 10+2/Intermediate exam with 50% marks for the general/underprivileged state (ups)/OBC whereas 40% for SC/ST/PC aspirants.
• Students who have qualified or appearing for 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology/Agriculture are eligible to appear for the test.

For AIEEA 22nd PG:

• Candidates who have qualified bachelor’s degree in Agricultural engineering/Veterinary/Agriculture/Fisheries/Horticulture/Sericulture/ Dairy technology/Biotechnology/Food science/Forestry/Marketing and cooperation/Basic allied sciences, etc. are eligible to appear for the exam.
• General/OBC/UPS aspirants have to score at least 60% marks in the qualifying exam. In the case of SC/ST/PWD candidates, 50% marks are required to appear for the exam.

Age Limit

The age criteria are different for the candidates applying for UG and PG programs.

AIEEA 23rd UG:

• The age limit is in between 17 to 23 years as on 31st August 2018.
• Upper age relaxation of 5 years is available for Sc/ST/PC candidates.

AIEEA PG:

• Candidates should possess minimum age limit of 19 years as on 31st August 2018.

ICAR Application Form 2018

The ICAR Online Application Form 2018 is available through online in the month of April. AIEEA UG/PG Application Form is provided in online and offline modes. But AICE SRF PGS Application is available through online only. The demo application is facilitated on the official website by the council for the aspirants to get the idea of how to fill AIEEA Application form 2018.

To get the offline application form along with the bulletin, candidates have to pay the cash in the prescribed syndicate bank branches. The online form is also available in the eight institutions of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, candidates can get it by making the payment through bank draft.

After the completion of the filling the form, affix it with the postal stamp and send it to the following address provided through registered/speed post.

Candidates can pay the registration fee through online/offline mode.

Online Mode: The registration fee payment for the online application can be done through the syndicate bank challan or credit/debit card by using the payment gateway of Canara Bank/ NEFT.

Offline Payment: Candidates who are applying for the exam through offline mode have to are required to make the payment through bank draft. The bank draft is drawn in the favour of “ICAR Unit-Education division, ICAR, New Delhi” payable at New Delhi.

ICAR AIEEA 2018 Exam Pattern

The AIEEA 22nd Exam Pattern for UG and PG courses is as follows.

AIEEA UG 2018:

• It has only single paper.
• The exam paper consists 180 multiple choice questions.
• The question paper is in English and Hindi language.
• 4 marks are awarded for each correct answer.
• There is negative marking.
• 1 mark is deducted for the wrong answers.
• For stream-A, the questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agriculture.
• The questions in stream-B are taken from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

AIEEA PG 2018:

• The question paper comprises of 150 MCQ, objective type, and 10 cross-matching type questions.
• The medium of the paper is only English.
• There is negative marking of 1 mark for MCQ incorrect questions.
• 0.2 marks are deducted for incorrect matching type sub question or pairing.

The duplicate AIEEA UG 2018 Admit Card is available through online along with the application form.  In that hall ticket, candidates have to fill all the details carefully except roll number and venue.

AIEEA ICAR Answer Key 2018

The officials will release the answer key for sets-A, B, C & D through online. With the help of AIEEA 2018 Answer Key, candidates can cross check the score and tally with the previous year cut off marks to know whether you will qualify or not.

ICAR 2018 Cut Off Marks

The officials will upload the AIEEA Sectional wise Cut Off 2018 after the release of answer key. The cut off depends on the several factors provided below.

The answer sheet is scanned by the computer scanner and evaluated by matching the answer key. Overall merit list is prepared separately for different streams. No rechecking/re-evaluation is allowed by the officials under any circumstances.

AIEEA ICAR Counselling 2018

The seat allotment is completely on the basis of the merit list of the candidates in UG and PG All India Entrance examination for Admission 2018. The National Talent Scholarships (NTS) are awarded for the merit candidates in AIEEA UG 2018. 475 ICAR JRF (Junior Research Fellowships) are provided for the merit PG degree holders.

Based on the overall merit list, the admissions are provided to agricultural universities. Also,  seats are offered through ICAR UG 2018 Counselling as per their choices filled, availability of seats and the rank obtained.

The National Talent Scholarships are provided to every student admitted into any agricultural university at the rate of Rs. 2000/- per month during the period of study.
