JIPMER 2021 Eligibility

Nationality

• Candidates must be the citizen of India.
• Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates is eligible to apply for JIPMER with proper proof.

Educational Qualification

MD/MS courses:

• Candidates have to possess MBBS or an equivalent degree recognized by Medical Council of India.
• Aspirants should have compulsory completed the required period of 12 months rotating internship/practical training on or before 30th June 2021.
  • General/OBC Candidates: 55% marks
  • SC/ST/OPH Aspirants: 50% marks

DM/M.Ch courses:

• Cardiac Anaesthesia: Must hold an MD/DNB (Anesthesiology) Degree of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Cardiology Should possess an M.D. / DNB Degree in General Medicine / Pediatrics/ Pulmonary Medicine of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Clinical Immunology/Endocrinology/Nephrology/Neurology:  Must hold an M.D. / DNB Degree in General Medicine / Pediatrics of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized to by the Medical Council of India.

• Medical Oncology: Should hold M.D. / DNB Degree in Medicine / Pediatrics /Radiotherapy of
  this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.
• Neonatology/Pediatric Critical Care: Must possess an M.D. / DNB Degree in Pediatrics of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Medical Gastroenterology: M.D. / DNB Degree in General Medicine / Pediatrics of this
  Institute or any other Institute/University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

M.Ch Courses:

• CardioThoracic & Vascular Surgery/Neuro-Surgery/Urology/Surgical Gastroenterology/Plastic Surgery/Pediatric Surgery: M.S. / DNB Degree in General Surgery of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Surgical Oncology: Should possess M.S./ DNB Degree in General Surgery / Obstetrics & Gynecology / Otolaryngology (E.N.T) / Orthopedic Surgery of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

Fellowship Courses:

• Diabetology: Must have completed M.D./DNB General Medicine from any University recognized
  as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Cardiac and Neuro Anesthesiology: M.D./DNB Anesthesiology from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Pediatric Critical and Emergency Care: Should have passed M.D./DNB Pediatrics from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Critical Care (Anaesthesiology): M.D./DNB Anaesthesiology / General Medicine from any
  University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Tropical Parasitology: M.D./DNB Microbiology from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.
