JIPMER stands for Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research. JIPMER conducts the various entrance exams to provide the admissions to undergraduate, postgraduate, super speciality and Ph.D. courses.

The PG courses such as M.D/M.S Entrance Exam is conducted in 22 disciplines. Superspeciality programs such as D.M/M.Ch/Fellowship courses are organized in 8 disciplines. A total of 15 seats is available for these super speciality courses. Ph.D. programs are conducted in 7 disciplines. A total of 16  seats is available for these 7 Ph.D. programs.

JIPMER Exam Notification 2021 – MBBS MD MS

The Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research has announced the JIPMER Notification 2021. The main reason behind the release of this notification is to conduct the entrance exams for the applicants to provide the admissions into UG/PG/super speciality programs, fellowship programs.

The minimum qualification the applicants have to possess to apply for this exam is intermediate. Also, candidates can go through the detailed eligibility details provided for different courses. JIPMER MD MS 2021 Eligibility

The eligibility details such as age limit, qualification, etc are provided below. Applicants must have to fulfill the eligibility criteria prescribed by the officials before applying for the exam.

Nationality

• Candidates should be the citizen of India.
• Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) candidates has to submit the proof at the time of counselling.
• Foreign Nationals (FN) candidates are also eligible to appear for the test.

Educational qualification

The academic qualification is different for the different courses as provided below.

For MD/MS:

• Candidates have to possess MBBS or any equivalent degree recognized by the Medical Council of India.
• Aspirants should have completed the required period of 12 months rotatory training or practical training on or before the 30th June 2021.
• Applicants must have completed the MBBS degree with the minimum qualifying marks on the basis of category.
  • General/OBC: 55%
  • SC/ST: 50%

DM Courses:

• Cardiac Anaesthesia: Candidates should hold an MD/DNB (Anesthesiology) Degree of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Cardiology: Aspirants must possess M.D/DNB Degree in General Medicine/Pediatrics/ Pulmonary Medicine of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

• Clinical Immunology/Endocrinology/Nephrology/Neurology: Applicants must hold M.D/DNB Degree in General Medicine / Pediatrics of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Medical Oncology: Candidates should hold M.D/DNB Degree in Medicine/Pediatrics/ Radiotherapy of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Neonatology/Pediatric Critical Care: Contenders must possess M.D. / DNB Degree in Pediatrics of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Medical Gastroenterology: Aspirants have to possess M.D. / DNB Degree in General Medicine /Pediatrics of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

JIPMER Eligibility Criteria

For M.Ch. Courses:

• Cardio Thoracic & Vascular Surgery/Neuro-Surgery/Urology/Surgical Gastroenterology /Plastic Surgery/Pediatric Surgery: Aspirants have to possess M.S. / DNB Degree in General Surgery of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized by
  the Medical Council of India.

• Surgical Oncology: Candidates need to possess the M.S./ DNB Degree in General Surgery / Obstetrics & Gynecology / Otolaryngology (E.N.T) / Orthopedic Surgery of this Institute or any other Institute/University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

Fellowship Courses:

• Diabetology: Applicants should have completed the M.D./DNB General Medicine from any University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Cardiac and Neuro Anesthesiology: Must have qualified the M.D./DNB Anesthesiology from any University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Pediatric Critical and Emergency Care: Applicants should have passed M.D./DNB Pediatrics from any University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Critical Care (Anaesthesiology): Aspirants must have completed M.D./DNB Anaesthesiology /General Medicine from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Tropical Parasitology: Should have passed M.D./DNB Microbiology from any University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Hemato-Oncology: Applicants should possess the M.D./DNB Medicine from any University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Pediatric Oncology: Candidates must have completed D.M/DNB Paediatrics from any University recognized by the Medical Council of India.

• Apheresis: Should have passed M.D/DNB Transfusion Medicine/ Immunohematology from any University recognized by the Medical Council of India. (OR) Aspirants must have completed M.D./DNB Pathology from any University recognized by the Medical Council of India with one-year blood bank work experience from an Academic Post Graduate Institute.

JIPMER 2021 Eligibility

• Stroke Management: Candidates should have completed D.M./DNB Neurology from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Hepato-Pancreatic-biliary Surgery: Aspirants must have completed M.Ch./DNB Surgical Gastroenterology/Gastrointestinal Surgery/Paediatric Surgery from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Hemato-Pathology: Applicants must have passed M.D./DNB Pathology from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Nephro Pathology: Contenders should have completed M.D./DNB Pathology from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Child & Adolescent Psychiatry: Must have passed M.D./DNB Psychiatry / Paediatrics from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Certificate Course in Advance Imaging: Should have completed the M.D./DNB Radiodiagnosis from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Obstetric Medicine: Should have qualified M.D./DNB Obstetrics & Gynaecology from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

• Pediatric Dermatology: Must have completed M.D./DNB Dermatology / Dermatology Venerology & Leprology from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.
• Lasers and Dermatosurgery: Candidates should have passed M.D./DNB Dermatology from any University recognized as equivalent there to by the Medical Council of India.

JIPMER PG Application Form 2021 (Closed)

The JIPMER 2021 Application form for different entrance exams is available through online only. Candidates who are interested in taking the admissions into the medical courses can check the eligibility criteria and start filling the form.

JIPMER 2021 Exam Pattern for various courses such as MD/MS, DM/M.Ch, Fellowship etc is as follows.

For MD/MS Entrance Exam 2021:

• The exam is conducted through online only (computer based test).
• The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
• Four marks are given for each correct response.
• One mark is deducted for the wrong answers.
• MD/MS Entrance Exam is organized in only one shift.
• The medium of the exam is English only.
• The exam paper consists of 250 MCQ, objective type questions.

The JIPMER 2021 Admit Card for MD/MS/M.Ch/DM is available through online from 29th April 2021 . For MBBS Entrance Exam, the hall ticket uploaded by the officials on 29th April 2021. So, all the candidates have to download the hall ticket as soon as possible by entering the login details.
