Cut Off means the Minimum Mark to be secured by the candidate in order to qualify the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research Exam 2018. PGIMER 2018 Cut Off depends on many factors like Number of Applicants, Number of Seats, and the Difficulty level of the Exam, etc. As per the Authority, students belonging to General/Sponsored/Deputy categories must attain a minimum of 55 Percentile Score. Consequently, candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/OPH/Rural categories should obtain a minimum of 50 Percentile. However, Nationals of Bhutan must score a minimum of 45 Percentile.

How to Calculate PGIMER 2018 Score?

The Percentage score of PGIMER 2018 will be calculated by using the below formula.

[x / a-y / b] x 100

For Example: If a participant has given 580 responses as correct out of 600. Out of 580 marked responses, 450 are correct and remaining 130 are wrong, then a=600, b= 650, x=450, and y=130. Therefore the total percentage will be 55.0 i.e, [(450/600) – (130/650)] x 100

PGI Chandigarh Exam Result – PGIMER Tie Breaking Criteria 2018

If two or more students attain the same Percentile in Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education & Research Entrance Exam 2018 July Session, tie-breaking criteria will be followed as below.

• Officials will give more preference to those candidates who obtain higher aggregate Marks in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery Exam.
• If two or more candidates secure same aggregate Marks in their MBBS Degree, then authorities will give priority to the applicant senior in age.
• Officials of PGIMER considers those who obtain Minimum Percentile as per their category for admission.

After the announcement of PGIMER Result 2018 (July session), authorities will hold First Counselling from 15th June 2018. They will conduct the second and finally the third Counselling respectively from 12th July 2018 and 25th July 2018. In the case of vacant seats, the fourth Counselling will start in the month of August 2018.
