TANCET MBA 2021 Notification

Anna University, Chennai has released the TANCET 2021 Notification in the month of January. Candidates who are willing to apply for the Tamil Nadu CET Exam have to check the eligibility criteria and then fill the online application before the last date.

TANCET Exam 2021 Eligibility

Candidates have to ensure the eligibility conditions provided below before filling the tancet Application Form 2021.

Educational Qualification

The academic qualification varies for each course. So, all the applicants have to check the eligibility carefully before applying for the exam.

For MBA:

• Candidates should have passed three years Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks for general & 45% marks for reserved candidates.

For MCA:

• Aspirants have to pass the bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduate level.

MCA (Lateral Entry):

• Contenders who have completed Bachelor’s degree minimum 3 years in B.C.A, B.Sc (CS/IT) with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduate level.
• Applicants have to secure at least 50% whereas 45% for reserved candidates.

M.E/M.Tech/M.Plan/M.Arch:

• Applicants who have completed bachelor’s degree or equivalent obtaining minimum 50% marks.
• SC/ST Candidates have to secure at least 45% marks in the qualifying exam.
• GATE Score is also valid for the admissions into these programs.

Tancet 2021 Apply Online-Registration Fee

The application fee for the candidates of different categories is as follows.

• For general candidates: Rs. 500/- for any one programme
• For SC/ST aspirants: Rs. 250/- per one programme.

In case, candidates who are applying for more than one programmes have to pay a fee of Rs. 500/- for each additional programme. SC/ST candidates have to pay Rs. 250/- per each additional programme.

TANCET 2021 Merit List

The conducting body will prepare three separate merit lists to provide the admissions through Tamil Nadu CET 2020. The merit list is for the GATE 2021 qualifiers, Tamil Nadu CET 2021 qualified candidates & sponsored category candidates.

• GATE 2021 Categorywise Merit: GATE Score 2021 is taken into account for preparing the merit list for Engg./Technology. The merit list is prepared for the Engg. Science & Life Science on the basis of the following.

The Officials assign Rank to the candidates on the basis of the marks in the exam. So, all the candidates have to download the TAN CET Rank Card 2021 to appear for Counselling. The normalization obtains as per the following formula. This equation gives the corresponding rank of the candidates in any discipline.

• Raw Score:  The marks obtained by the candidates in Part-1 + Part-2 + Part-3 in Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test 2021.
• Normalised Score: The mean marks of the raw scores for the different disciplines may vary.

TANCET Counselling 2021 – Anna University Admission 2021

The Counselling process is different for different courses. The Counselling for the M.Tech/M.Arch programs are through Tamilnadu Common Admissions (TANCA) 2021. Candidates have to register separately for counselling. The admissions are provided through two ways.

• One for the GATE qualified candidates.
• Other for TANCET qualified aspirants.

The officials will call the candidates to the admission process on the basis of the rank list. Candidates will get the admissions into the desired courses on the basis of the rank/score in the exam. The Tamil Nadu CET 2021 Counselling will start from June 2021.

TANCET 2021 Counselling Fee for MBA/MCA/M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan

• Counselling fee is Rs. 5, 300/- for general whereas Rs. 1, 150 for SC/ST/SCA candidates belonging to TN.
• The Counselling fee includes the non-refundable fee of Rs. 300/-.
• The fee can be paid through the cash or DD in favor of ” The Secretary, TANCA, Anna University” payable at Chennai.

MBA/MCA Counselling

• The MCA/MBA seats are provided on the basis of the merit list of the candidates.

TANCA (M.E/M.Tech/M.Plan/M.Arch) Counselling

• The admissions into various courses such as Engineering & Technology, Architecture courses are provided through TANCA.
• Candidates should have completed Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Also, candidates have to possess any of following to get the admissions into the above courses.
  • TANCET 2021 Score Card
  • GATE 2021 Score Card in any discipline from Engg./Technology.
  • GATE Score Card 2021 in XE and XL along with TANCET 2021 Score.
